ART Ruth Sharabi, exceptional artist, intuitive painter. Her paintings refuse to surrender to technical and style definitions. Her works are sensual, instinctive and expressional, rich in pagan images of femininity, fecundity and reproduction, and are moving between poles of primitivism and modernism. Mysterious figures doubt females, huge insects, doubt ancient fecundity idols, sometimes figures like humans and sometimes remind aliens and near them graphical elements embedded inside the paintings that look like icons, letters from a secret writing, graffiti or cave paintings. Ruth uses this suspense also in her technique thick layers of color, a large amount of different materials, volume and relationship to texture against two - dimensionality and flatness. Spilled and minimalist figures and primary geometric forms: triangles, circles and quadruples, erecting from the texture. In her works, there is equal significance to plenteousness, material, stain and color, and also to the line itself.
